This book made my blood boil, not because of the author but because of the subject matter. The way the women featured in this book were treated by the police, prosecutors, defense attorneys and society at large is horrendous. Important read, as this issue is certainly not unique to Missoula but unfortunately happens at every college campus everywhere. Just be forewarned that there are very graphic descriptions of rape and sexual assault.

This is a super close to home book for me as I lived in Missoula during this time though I was young and wasn't even leaving for college till the fall of 2016. I remember angry people and being a child thought something wasn't right. Now looking back as a adult just out of the most vulnerable age range for rape I understand more than I ever thought I could. This is disheartening to hear that so many women weren't protected and alot of people got a free pass for this terrible behavior. Prayers with all those affected.
