I received a free copy of this book from the author and voluntarily reviewed it.

White Queen: Fiend is the fourth book in the Shifters Among Us series and in this book the focus shifts to the white queen. I really enjoyed this book. It was great to see the story continue, but also how the focus shifts. The Black Queen and her harem still play an important role, but the white queen and her harem have the focus now.

I really like Mina, she's so different from Frankie which was well done. Where Frankie didn't want anything to do with being a queen at first and ran from it, Mina embraces being a queen very early on. Mina does have her own figuring out to do. When we first met her in book 1 she was a different person than she is now and in this book she changes even more. I like seeing her grow into her role and power and embracing it and also getting her harem together.

Mina's harem mostly develops in this book, she meets all 3 of her consorts, but it's clear there is still a lot more to do and develop before they really get to a solid position. There are some interesting twists and turns here.

I just love Ansel and Mina together, they are just awesome. Ansel is so sweet and I love how he encourages Mina and goes along with her crazy ideas. He's still my favorite one in her harem so far.

I liked that Mina had some distance from Alistair to figure out who she is and when she meets Alistair again the dynamic is all different. Unfortunately I am not quite sure if I like it. I wasn't sure what to think of Alistair at first, but the way he is now is weird too. He's almost to dedicated to his queen and will do everything for her and it just kinda bothers me as it feels like what he wants is all shown away as doing everything for his queen seems to be the only thing left.

At the end we briefly meet Mina's third consort and I am not quite sure what to think of him yet. There simply isn't enough time to get a feel for him yet. I like seeing the harem develop and also how Ansel and Alistair interact together and I am curious to see how things change with the third guy now joining in there. This book has plenty of steam as well as lots of characters interactions.

Besides the harem development there also is some plot threads moving along. The focus mostly feels on the characters and developing relationships, but there are some interesting pieces plot wise as well and some reveals and set up for later events. I enjoy seeing everything play out and can't wait to see what happens next.

I wasn't sure what to think of Viktor at first and there are some interesting developments surrounding him in this book and I am still not quite what to think of him, but he did become a lot more interesting and understandable in this book. Even if I don't agree with how he handles things, it does make more sense now why he does these things.

I also liked seeing Frankie and her harem. They're dealing with a few things and it's just nice to see them all band together and work together. There also is the search for the red queen, someone's missing sister and more.

To summarize: I really enjoyed this book. The spotlight shifts to Mina, the white queen, in this book and I really liked getting to know her better. Mina is a great characters and I like how different from Frankie she is. She embraces her powers faster, but still has a lot of figuring out to do as well. I liked seeing her deal with everything and see her harem come together. Ansel is still my favorite tough, he's just so sweet and Mina and Ansel are just awesome together. We'll see whether my opinion changes in the later books, I don't really care about Alistair yet and the third guy we only meet briefly so far. There are some interesting plot developments and I liked learning a bit more about Viktor. All in all this book definitely kept my attention and I can't wait to see what's next.
