I think this is one of the nicest to read and most realistic depictionof a relationship between 2 sweet people with trust issues I've ever read. The reconciliation with miscommunicated family is also very well done.

Smut scenes are almost poetic lmao

I really liked the couple in the first book, and continue to love them in this one. It’s my favorite type of miscommunication, in that it wasn’t the plot of the story. And love family

Which is another point, I’m always a fan of murder mystery/crime story’s etc. So this continues to work in my favor. The murder is compelling in of itself, and not as obvious as others, so that adds to the enjoyment!
