Read in May 2021
This was my first read of 2021.
The first 2 weeks of the year 3 family members that were very close to me passed away and the book couldn't have come at a better time.
It's not my favorite style of writing because you go through the story in letter forms as the main character writes them to dead celebrities.
The story was semi interesting and there were a few parts with a rush of excitement. I enjoyed how they talked about some very dark topics and how they're sadly very common with the young generations.
(Suicide, harrasment , home violence..etc)

(i need to write a real review but this will be fine for now. i don't actually *want* to take the 15 min. to write a real review but will have to later :l )
basically i almost stopped reading this a couple times because i'm not crazy into this kind of book (but when i read the back and started it I was freaking out because of its perfection. when i say 'this kind of book' i mean a book that includes too much drinking. but okay anyway) but I kept reading it against my better judgement. (i sound like a GRANDMOTHER. however, um, no, i am the total opposite. i simply don't approve of parts of this book)
This book.
^.^
basically
it's really amazing.
the writing is *incredible*. It's perfect and amazing. the quotes/poems… wow. i just… really loved it.
and the story itself… is amazing and complex and simple all at once and i don't even know. this is how you could describe how i felt after reading it??

i loved the characters so so much. i never hated anyone (maybe except for a couple guys but i won't spoil it.)
there were some parts that made an eyebrow go up, like really?, but overall it was great.

Eh. I didn't love it but I don't want to rate it lower than a three because I wasn't really the target audience. I guess it makes sense I don't get into YAs too much anymore. Everything seemed pretty cliche.
An interesting well to tell a story completely in one sided letters. I think the main twist of the plot felt a little disconnected due to this delivery but a strong story nonetheless.
