I found this book hard to get into and ultimately ended up DNFing. The writing style just wasn’t my vibe and I got almost halfway through without any major breakthroughs in plot.

to be fair i read it a long time ago and don't remember much, but the one thing i *do* remember is that at some point i had to stop reading and said out loud "i don't like this book" while staring at the wall.
