I loved coming back to revisit the Whimbrel house, Merritt, Hulda, and Owein.

Book #3 in this series ranks as the least enjoyable for me.  The character development was strong, but the plot, although interesting, felt like it was stretched too thin, with too little happening, making most of the book feel dry.   It reads more of a “stepping stone side story” than a full novel.  

I’ll still read book 4, because I enjoy the characters and overall story arch, but I do hope it’s better than this one.

This is such a great series. It was great to see these characters again and I enjoyed the adventure of traveling to England. The plot was great, I loved the twists and turns as they figured out who was targeting them. There were so many high points in this book, it really was a great continuation of the series.
