This is a sweet little series.  It's fast pace with loveable quirky characters that you just want to know more about.  The series is set in the past in Boston and Rhode Island, however book 3 switched it up a little as the main characters travel over seas.  I liked the switch up, it kept things interesting and fresh.   As in all the books, something is going on that needs to be investigated and stopped, but there is also so personal chaos mixed in with the main characters and a good amount of growth and reflection.  My only qualm about the series as a whole is that it is in the third person.

Book 3 in the Whimbrel House Series, we are leaving Rhode Island and traveling to London on Queen Victoria’s request. Owein finally has the chance to leave the island he has spent his entire 200+ years on.

As the threat against Merritt and Owein has finally past, Merritt and Hulda start to plan their wedding. Until a request from Queen Victoria has Merritt and Owein heading off to London. It’s an unusual request but it might just mean Owein could receive a body.

Once again the author has created a wonderful story complete with danger, magic , hidden agendas and loveable characters! This is the 3rd book in a 5 book series so while the story is wrapped up there is still some unanswered questions and mystery’s.

"They will plague your life. Sometimes, the gift of future-seeing is not seeing."

The third and I think the last part of Whimbrel House, an enchanted house was quite relaxing compared to the previous two books, and I did not surprised since Merritt, Hulda, and dear Owein are off to England and visiting the royal family.

In the 19th century, Hulda Larkin was a Keeper of Enchanted Rooms, and being sent to the Whimbrel House was one the best things that happened in her life and changed it forever. Merritt Fernsby, Heir of Uncertain Magic inherited a hundred years old houses and with that found all the things he was looking for.
And Boy of Chaotic Making is the lovely Owein who will learn to fight the darkness and grows up, although I know and he knows that too, It’s easier, as a kid, dealing with the . . . hurt.

These three stories are interconnected and should be read in sequence. I don't want to give away any spoilers, especially to those who haven't read the entire series, but I can say that this series is indeed an enchanted one. Full of magic, love, and friendship.

“Do you believe in heaven, Merritt?“
“What’s the point of all of it if there isn’t something beyond? Seems life would be pretty dismal if it were strictly sealed cover to cover.”

My huge thanks to 47North via NetGalley for giving me a chance to read this beautiful book, Boy of Chaotic Making (Whimbrel House #3) by Charlie N. Holmberg, I have given my very honest review.

boring. this should’ve just been the first book instead of a series
