This book was super cute! A slow burn to find out what was happening and was pretty predictable, however, the second chance and friends to lovers trope were well put together!

A second chance romance that I absolutely devoured! Reiterating that second chance romances are one of my least favorite tropes but this was so good. The reason why they stopped talking was valid too. This is a childhood friends to lovers to strangers then back to lovers I guess you can say. It gave me Love and Other Words vibes tbh but not in a plagiarism type of way . I loved the beach house setting and overall vibe. This book would actually make a really good movie.
This is told in a past and present timeline. I liked the past more because I loved seeing the buildup of Violet and Will's relationship. It was so cute and wholesome. I loved the reconnection between them and the rest of the characters in the present as well. I also like how the topic of grief was represented in this, it was kind of realistic. I can't say anything else without spoiling but this was really enjoyable and I would highly recommend!
