Great story, even better characters, dialogue that was fresh, insightful, and engaging. There were sections that left me in shock with their profound truth yet modest telling. And yet I had the hardest time falling into the story until about halfway through.

I almost feel bad giving it 4 stars, because it truly is masterful. I know it deserves more, but I’ll need to be guided there by discussions with friends or analysis from experts before I get there myself.

The chapter on the Grand Inquisitor, the chapter with with Ivan’s hallucination, and a few others are unbelievable. Alyosha‘s character was one of the most compelling I’ve ever read and will definitely stay with me. A vision of the true, good, and beautiful if I’ve ever read one.

I’m not quite sure what to write as a review in order to do this masterpiece justice.
It has worked its way to be my favourite book of all time. It changed the way I see certain things and think about others.

The depth and analysis of characters is incredible, no wonder it’s a classic. I would like to re read it time and time again at different stages of my life.

Truly incredible.
