Don't have as much to say about book 3. More world building, more character development, good plot, enjoyable. However, it lacked the tense excitement of book 2, and fell more strongly into feel of book 1. The author is careful to grow the world with each book, so you always are learning and experiencing new aspects of the universe, while he incorporates all the elements with which you are already familiar. It still has the characteristic humor mixed in with deeper musings about the nature of man and society. Interesting topics are naturally and organically explored through the characters like femininity and gender bias through dwarves, well-intentioned prejudices through werewolfs, and the nature of self and religion through golems. I never feel brow beaten by any particular musing. In terms of enjoyment I rank it similar to book 1, maybe a bit higher?, and noticeably less than book 2.
