Elevated writing, entertaining dialogue, the battle scenes were fun reading for the most part, but about 3/4 of the way through it really started to drag-on.

Filled with some of the most delightfully colorful language I've seen, I absolutely loved this book.
Gabriel's voice as a narrator brings dark levity to an otherwise heavy jouney. His voice can clearly paint the nostalgia of childhood, the pain and weariness of the journey, and the sorrow hidden deep within his heart. 
It's hard to put into words how this book made me feel. I laughed, I cried, and I couldn't put the book down.

This book will stick with you. Just.....*chef's kiss* this is such a dark yet fun vampire novel, and (especially after finishing book two!) I am very excited to see how this trilogy will unfold!!!!

Fantastic! Great characters and worldbuilding, a very believable and interesting twist to the sexy, alluring vampire-narrative we are used to, blood, gore and death. Grimdark at its best 🌟
