for school obvs. definately am needing a couple of re-reads. confused is an understatement. i somewhat understand the metaphor of the whole book itself such as patriarchy and governement and such but so confused on characters. like who is molly still and what happened to mrs jones?? will rate it once i get a better understanding of the book.
after so many hours of rereading and analyzing i can successfully say i understand this book with further depth too. honestly i’ve read it so much i think i’ve re-read it about 8 times. aside that animal farm is very going into the truth depths of equality and leadership. throughout the book i mainly analyzed the pigs: their different tactics, manipulations, breaking of commandments and finally inhabiting human vices’, personally i don’t give into different governments and leaders as i know (like benjamin) its a never ending cycle and peoples opinions are too stubborn to make a difference. so yes personally i did not enjoy analysing each and every word of this book. do i know about 16 quotes off by heart? yes. do i know every character and can quickly summarize them in a couple sentences? yes. did i enjoy this? meh.

in my perfectly humble opinion, everyone should at least read animal farm once in their lives
I read Animal Farm in one sitting, and the story—along with its pace—was both horrifying and hauntingly clear in its message. It struck me how each animal, and the followers they gather, seem to represent different segments of the proletariat, each manipulated in distinct ways.
The most notable character for me was Boxer. He seems to embody the mindset that many Filipinos hold—one of tireless work, blind loyalty, and an almost painful willingness to sacrifice without question. Filipinos often carry this kind of mindset, where instead of holding those in power accountable, they internalize the failures of the system as their own fault.
There’s a deeply rooted belief among many that the burden of national progress lies solely on the shoulders of workers, even when it's abundantly clear that the crises we face are largely economic—systemic issues that go beyond individual effort and are often out of our control.
The tragic irony of Boxer’s end—being betrayed by the very principles he lived by—closely mirrors the fate of many Filipinos. Despite their hard work and loyalty, they are often let down or exploited by the very systems they trust, showing that uncritical obedience can be as dangerous as rebellion.
... I kind of want to see pigs walking on hinds legs though (this statement is probably discarding all of the book and my review's point).

A cautionary tale about the perils of authoritarianism. Sadly mirrors much of current American politics.
