There are compelling scenes within this supposed worst play by Shakespeare. The fickleness of monarchies is on full display, and the bastard sure is snarky.

It's interesting to see him turn & toy with things that become Actual Nice Work later on,, Lear's madness prefigured in Constance's 'I am not mad, I would to heaven I were! / For then 'tis like I should forget myself' & 'grief is proud and makes his owner stoop', 'l,,, hamlet's 'too much i'th'sun' in Dauphin Lewis' ''being but the shadow of your son, / becomes a sun and makes your son a shadow'.,,, these go on. I beg cold comfort there

The first part of this play was so boring and slow, but then it picked up around Act III and I genuinely enjoyed it. Arthur was my favorite he was so funny.
