Kind of like a literary, very British, extended Seinfeld episode. Good fun

There is nothing much to say that other reviewers haven't already said. There is no Wooster in this J&W novel, and Jeeves behaves in a completely uncharacteristic manner. It's all really weird, even if there are a couple of laughs thrown in here and there.

Funny enough that I’ve been convinced Wodehouse’s other works are worth checking out. It annoyed me that Bill was just Bertie again, from his way of speaking to his reliance on Jeeves’s completing his quotes to his questionable clothing. I get why it can’t be Bertie
because Bill’s happily engaged and gets married at the end,
but he really should have a somewhat different personality. All the times Bertie was mentioned did somewhat circumnavigate how much I missed him, though, he’s clearly still on Jeeves’s mind. (I swear I don’t really ship them. That much.)

Honestly, this one didn't work as well for me due to the absence of Wooster and the shift from his 1st person viewpoint to a 3rd person omniscient. Still enjoyable, but it would've worked better if it hadn't been Jeeves. Being able to see into his mind inevitably disappoints, as he is so impressive in previous titles knowing what he's thinking is much less impressive. It's like watching sausage being made. Ah well.
