I loved this short and sweet historical fiction taking place in 1980s Ireland around Christmas time

Short but oh so mighty. This book shone a bright light on ordinary, persistent kindness in the “real” world of survival. Bill’s kindness and seemingly tiny decision to help is somehow a simple yet immensely profound and meaningful act. A quiet, short tale that speaks volumes.

Keegan said so much with so little. She expertly picked her words to convey heavy emotions in everyday happenings. Excellent writing and a bittersweet delight to read.
