I feel bad giving it such a low rating but the thing is I only liked one of the stories, all the other ones were a bit more meh. Surprisingly the one I did like was the one with Jack but I liked the modern twist the author wrote. Also if you're hoping to read this and find a LGBT couple, there isn't any because apparently everyone is straight (I'm not counting the 12 dancing princess story).

Sierra Simone- Music Box Girl

A dirty Princess and lots of naughty fun to entice you makes Music Box Girl a hot tease. It's surprisingly naughtier than I anticipated. It's definitely an eye opening start to what is bound to be a very tempting book.

Skye Warren - Bedtime Story

Nothing quite as charming as a prince...except maybe for a dark Prince offering to slay your dragons. The catch is you probably already met Jessica now watch her meet someone new.

Althea Romig -Ripples

Ripples is an apropos title. Not knowing any of Althea's books personally but having a few. I was blissfully unaware of the interesting little twist. I now have an intense need to read a certain set of books. And possibly stock up on batteries...

Nicola Rendell- Royal Mattress

Grandma Katrina is sure to be your new bestie. She is definitely an acquired taste but she means well. I really enjoyed this rendition of Princess and the Pea. It was very cute and the HOT...Toddies were good too.

Sophie Jordan- In a Stranger's Bed

Goldilocks had never before made me jealous- until Sophie Jordan. She somehow put my fantasies to the page and brought them to life. Just don't tell my hubs- he isn't quite Niall. As with the other stories in this book, it's a fun, sexy new interpretation of an old classic...it's also a secret fantasy of mine. So hats off to Ms. Jordan because that was perfect.

Nora Flite- Broken Harp

My favorite version of Jack and the Beanstalk. My adult self likes it better than the child version. Maybe I'm broken...but I really think this is better. Hot Jack isn't a bad thing either...I would climb him like a beanstalk any day.

AL Jackson- Red Hot Pursuit

A whole lot of hot in this pursuit! I think the tension, lust, and delicious things Mr. Wolfe was saying burned my fingers while turning pages. I absolutely loved this story. Sexy, sinful and naughty just like a fairytale should be...

Lili St. Germain- Knot

Last but (k)not least...
A quick shot and a hot burn. Knot is over just when it's getting started.

What I loved is that several of these stories link to the authors existing library in a way that leaves you wondering which one to begin with.. It was a fun and highly entertaining read.

I have a love/hate relationship with anthologies, but when I saw the list of authors attached to Glamour: Contemporary Fairytale Retellings, I knew I had to read it. I am so glad that I took a chance on this one as it was one of the best anthologies I have ever read. Each story was one I enjoyed, without a single disappointment in the bunch.

Glamour includes novellas based on classic fairytales, including the following stories:
Knot by Lili St. Germain (Rapunzel)
Red Hot Pursuit by A.L. Jackson (Little Red Riding Hood)
Ripples by Aleatha Romig (Prince and the Pauper)
In A Stranger's Bed by Sophie Jordan (Goldilocks)
Bedtime Story by Skye Warren (Sleeping Beauty)
Royal Mattress by Nicola Rendell (Princess and the Pea)
Music Box Girl by Sierra Simone (Twelve Dancing Princesses)
Broken Harp by Nora Flite (Jack and the Beanstalk)

Each one of this was quick and sexy, and just what I was looking for. These are the perfect quick bits steam for those that don't have time to sit down and read a full novel. I loved that they were modern retellings, taking what we have grown up loving about classic fairytales and putting their own modern twists on them. While I enjoyed all of these and would recommend this to readers, my absolute favorite here was Music Box Girl by Sierra Simone. I loved each story, and I think fans of Erotica as well as fans of fairytales will definitely want to check this one out.

4 stars: Red Hot Pursuit by A.L. Jackson (July 10, 2017)
Brody and Lily are a winning combination of feisty and strong willed attitudes. Jackson knows how to write sweet and steamy and RHP isn't lacking either. A great short story that leaves you satisfied.
If the rest of the stories are of the same caliber than Glamour is sure to be a winning collection of contemporary fairytale retellings for adults!

5 stars: Royal Mattress by Nicola Rendell (July 14, 2017)
Oh my goodness, this story had me laughing from start to finish! Dave and Lisa are fantastic and Nicola Rendell sure fires up the steaminess! She and Alice Clayton need to get together because these ladies love their wallbangers - and we love to read them! - a book by those two might be too hot to handle though ;) A crazy winter storm, a mattress king, a cupcake princess, and a Ouija wielding grandma with the power of Google at her fingertips will provide you with laugh-out-loud fun that you won't want to end. I'm so sad it's only a short story, because I would love more of these three!

Red Hot Pursuit by AL Jackson

AL Jackson's Red Hot Pursuit is so yummy! I wish I had more!! This sexy, flirty retelling of Little Red Riding Hood with a twist was such a delight to read. I loved every second of it!! From the very first email exchange between Broderick Wolfe and Lilith Redd, I knew I was in for a fiery good time. The back and forth banter, riddled with wit and innuendos, was so addicting. These two characters had a connection that is hard to ignore.

AL Jackson stated that she had a lot fun writing this story. I can completely see that. It shines through in her words. Don't miss out on this fun and delicious enemies to lovers.

I wanted to read Glamour as soon as I saw the author list. It has quite a few of my favorites and the ones who I haven't read, I have been meaning to, so it was just a no-brainer that I was excited for it. I haven't read all of the stories in it yet, but I am definitely going to!

I have only read Ms. Warren's "Bedtime Story" for right now, but I really enjoyed it! It was sweet and interesting with a little sexiness to go along with it. I think my favorite part was the few lines of a fairytale story at the beginning of each chapter. I really loved that - it was just a lovely little story.

I might have only one the novellas down in this anthology, but I'm eager to read the others! I'm going to finish them as soon as I can and I'm sure they'll be fantastic. I can't wait to see what other fairytale re-tellings I have in store for me too!

Ripples a prince and a pauper story by Aleatha Romig - 4 Stars

I didn't know what to expect going into this story but I enjoyed it nonetheless even though certain things that happened in it weren't my cup of tea so to speak.

**ARC of Red Hot Pursuit provided by author in exchange for an honest review**

description

"I hated every single perfectly sculpted inch of him."

If Red Hot Pursuit by AL Jackson gave me a taste of what to expect from the other stories in this anthology, then I can't wait! I am a huge fan of Amy's writing. She is one of the few authors whose books I automatically one-click. I normally don't read many novellas, because it is just too short for me to fully connect to with the characters. And I always get the feeling that there is not enough character growth. However, the author did a phenomenal job with Red Hot Pursuit. I was intrigued from the start, and couldn't wait to see how the story would develop. The author did a great job in telling a complete story. Even though the story was fast-paced, it didn't rush through things and the chemistry between Brody and Lily felt real. This is a enemies-to-lovers novella, and even though I usually don't like this trope, it was done really well. I especially loved their email exchange. Brody and Lily were a perfect match, and I wish their story was a full-length novel. I am definitely looking forward to reading the other novellas in Glamour.

Review of KNOT by Lili St. Germain

I am a huge fan of Lili's books and this short story really hit the spot and had me wanting more! It was dark, taboo, hot and oh so good. I can't wait to read more books in this world and I am looking forward to what Lili has in store for us.
