A sweet queer love story grounded in queer friendship and queer culture that I didn't realizing I was missing until now.

This story was very cute. I absolutely LOVED how the author included queer history and I liked the trans representation!
In my opinion the book could have been shorter, though. Especially towards the end the characters kept repeating themselves and although the stakes were /theoretically/ high, I wasn’t too invested.

This book was so much fun! I loved  the characters and how each one was built with depth. I genuinely had no idea where this book would go which made the mystery so much more interesting. Also how the book brought up so much queer culture, and while keeping it real, also kept it in a positive light.

This was really engaging and fast-paced! Casey McQuiston shines in creating super unique, interesting characters that are so vivid, I want spin-off books for all of them.

It sucks how poorly the subject of race was handled in one phrase that the MC says during an altercation. As a white person, McQuiston has no right to determine the state of racism today. For that, I’m taking off one star.
