This collection has almost all the Kafka you could want as well as some you might not want very much. There's so many haunting and bizarre stories contained within that I had never read before and they became some of my favorite pieces of short fiction. The only drawback is the handful of stories that are kind of a slog to get through - although most of these are ones published after Kafka's death and/or unfinished.

No rating because of all the different stories in it. It was interesting to read Kafkas stories, especially after you learn about his personal life and see how much of it is reflected in his stories.
He has a unique writing style and I enjoyed some of his stories but some of them fell short for me. Some of the stories felt like a thousand pages, as if it would never end. Many stories were very disappointing.
However I did enjoy a few including, metamorphosis, the judgement, and a hunger artist.
His good stories were very good but his bad stories were very bad.
