Pembrooke is a small town that we get to know in Harlow and Noah’s book Wildflower. Derrick is divorced single dad, a cop and Noah’s friend. Chloe is Harlow’s best friend. Chloe has been in love with Derrick since he came to town and of course she’s not on Derrick’s radar. Because of a nasty marriage and divorce, Derrick has vowed NEVER to go through that pain again.

Because of Derrick and Chloe’s friends they are thrown together and Derrick starts to notice the joy and happiness of Chloe’s smile. Sunshine is what he calls her because that is what she brings to his days. When she takes that away from him, he misses it and will do anything to bring it back.
I loved reading about how their love bloomed and grew through the struggles of what life through at them. It was a true and everlasting love that Derrick finally admitted to having for her. It was also beautiful to read how Eliza blossomed under Chloe’s love and attention.

It was a cute, fun read. I can’t wait for Eliza’s book!

This is my first book by Jessica Prince so I was not really sure what to expect. I can say that after reading this it will not be my last book by the author ❤️.
I really enjoyed this book and read it within one sitting. I’m a sucker for a sweet small down romance and bonus points when one of the main characters have kids.
Would highly recommend.

This book was so good! I loved Chloe and Derrick, even if I did want to slap him in the back of the head more than once! Add in Eliza and it's book gold! Chloe is the owner of a small town Wyoming bakery and Derrick is a police officer with a terrible ex wife and amazing daughter. Chloe has been in love with Derrick since she met him, but he's a little....slower on the uptake. Once he realizes what he's missing, he sets about making sure Chloe is his. I loved this one, just another great book by Jessica Prince!

I enjoyed the story. Some parts were harder to follow at first because this is a spin-off from another series the author has and I didn't know that until I was already reading. I was able to pick up the characters' personalities after a while though.

I really liked the characters, although I think they could've had a little more depth. I will still be reading to next book the series!

Loved it

At first I really didn’t care for Derrick. He didn’t seem to have many redeeming qualities. However, the more you get to know him, the more you relate to him. This was a cute story and I’d definitely read it again.

This is the first book by Jessica Prince that I've read and I absolutely loved it. I laughed, I cried, and I felt everything they did right along with them.

This is an honest to God standalone. You won't need to read the other books to put pieces together, you won't feel like your missing something even though you know it's not paramount to the book your reading. Which is a huge plus for me.

I've read book about friends turned to lovers. I've read books about enemies turned lovers. Hell I've even read the ever common strangers turned instant lovers. But I've never read a book like this one. I don't even know how to describe it. Chloe had an honest to God crush. A CRUSH! How often do you read that!? You read books with the instant connection and we all want that, but it's just not realistic. One person crushing on the other that barely notices you exists, much more realistic. I pretty much fell in love with the book and that point. The rest was just an added bonus of sweet happily ever after.

It was so funny, one of the best things Jessica Prince does is write fantastic friendship dynamics.
Lots of other woman drama.
