Reading this via audiobook (along with reading Fangirl the manga) really enhanced my enjoyment. I only gave it 3 stars the last time I read this, but just loved the narrator with the story.

This was my first foray into Rainbow Rowell's fiction. When I was about halfway through the book, I realized I should've read Fangirl first. I was a little confused by the striking similarities to Harry Potter. Now I know Carry On is a piece of Fanfic by a character in Fangirl . With that established, I can say I thoroughly enjoyed this book! My favorite part were the spells and other little pop references that I was happy I understoodand and connected too. The plot included equal parts of romance, suspense and mystery. I loved the characters, particularly Baz. I can't wait to read Fangirl and see what Baz meant to the characters in that novel!
