I found every word of this 60 page novella engrossing and beautifully written. It was a simple story, incredibly well-crafter and executed perfectly.

allegory and dream twist

short stories are a very hard sell and this is a reasonably interesting realisation of both, but is still ultimately both. didn't quite do it for me, but glad to have read it. may not be impressive for a 70-page story to be worth the time it took to read, but even shorter stories have often been a total slog!

This has easily become one of my favourite books. The journey it took me on was an effortlessly beautiful and moving film in my head and it didn’t fail to keep me engaged. All throughout you are dealt these weird experiences and ghostly visions yet it’s never explicitly said what’s happening. How amazing!
