Only read the first book..

Chance and Cassie had great chemistry from the begging. I'm happy the author did not obsess over the fact that they were step siblings. Sometimes with stepbrother books it seems like that's all the author talks about but it was refreshing that it didn't happen in this book. Overall the story was enjoyable but there were some things I found super annoying throughout the book.

First I don't really get why the author added in a bunch of white dots in between each chapter.. It added 2-3 pages of blank space between each chapter. kinda seemed like the author was just trying to make the book seem longer than it actually was with a higher page count. In my opinion that's just deceitful.

Secondly I'm not sure if this author is American or not but I noticed the characters would sometimes make comments that Americans wouldn't. I don't know if it was supposed to be the characters trying to talk like they were European or if the author just didn't realize that isn't the way Americans talk. For example referring to the elevator as a lift. Another example referring to LSE simply as university, Americans don't usually refer to schools as just university. It sounds weird in American English. Just found all the random slip ups super annoying.

I received this book for an honest review.
Cassie is graduating and her father isn't even there to see, but he's not, he's not there to watch her walk across the stage or give her valedictorian speech.
Chance is the player, he has women groveling at his feet and once he's done with them, he doesn't even remember their names. The moment he sees Cassie, his heart isn't his anymore, no other woman matters.
Cassie though knows the Chance would never even look at a girl like her, he's gorgeous and she was the 'nerd' so when he made a move she was taken off guard and what's worse, her dad comes home from his trip to Vegas married to Chance's mom.
They are put through some trying times where Chance steps up and is the protector.
This is a great book that I couldn't put down.

These books are pretty good. The characters do get a bit annoying at times and come across a bit whiney but the storyline is good. My biggest problem is the description of the book is very deceiving. It's almost like it's describing a different book. I probably would have liked it more if the description hadn't been so deceiving.
