A nice ending to the story. Books were a lovely read, but could have been made into one book. Many elements were quickly brushed over. But a charming story in all.

3.5 | Gosh Matt was such a sims for Charlotte. He was OBSESSED. This was a super cute and steamy read, thought there would have been more conflict so I’m kind of disappointed about that. But over all I loved them both

I don't think I have to tell you how excited I was to read Commander in Chief - honestly, who wouldn't be dying to read it after finishing Mr. President?! As with any Katy Evans book, I always have high expectations that it's going to an amazing read and Ms. Evans without a doubt far exceeded my expectations with this one. It was beyond outstanding and I can't even tell you how much I loved it because I loved it so much!

I completely loved Charlotte in Mr. President and my love and admiration for her only grew the more I read. She is just so good, kind, and sweet. Charlotte is all class, elegance, and grace. She doesn't have a mean bone in her body - she cares greatly for Matt, the people, and children. I'm sure I said it last time, but I have to say it - Charlotte has a heart of gold and it's no wonder Matt and the whole country loves her - she is utterly amazing!

And Matt, well, nothing could have stopped me from falling even deeper in love with him either! I thought he was sexy before, but man, oh man, you ain't seen nothing yet! He's so possessive and determined and devoted to Charlotte, you could never doubt his feelings or that he would stop pursuing Charlotte until he had her because he would do anything to have and keep her. Trust me, Matt is going to sweep you off your feet even more than he did last time and he will make you love him hard!

I thought Mr. President was incredible, but oh, it has nothing on Commander in Chief! Everything about this book was just more. It was better, sexier, steamier, and heartier. I wholeheartedly fell in love with this story - it made me laugh and smile and melt almost all the time. It made my heart pound and race, it made me feel giddy and ecstatic, and it made feel all warm and gooey inside. It was breathtaking, beautiful, spectacular and it left no part of me untouched or unaffected - Commander in Chief was just pure magic!

Commander in Chief must be read after Mr. President, it's told from Matt and Charlotte's POV, and their happy ending will leave you smiling!

I feel like both books could have been combined into one well rounded story. I always love Katy’s characters and stories but I felt like everything happened in this book and nothing really happened in the first one. These stories are low on angst and low on invented drama which is a good thing for me. Would have liked a little epilogue with Matt and Charlotte like 10-15 or more years in the future but that’s just me.

I see him holding our daughter’s hand (yes, it’s a girl—we got confirmation just last week!), her red hair in two little pigtails as she skips besides her father, looking up at him with all the love and awe in the world, and him looking down at her as if she were the greatest treasure.

GIVE ME A NOVELLA MISS KATY

I tried, I really did. But it just dragged on too much. Their story should have been kept to one book.

I was overjoyed when COMMANDER IN CHIEF hit my kindle. I've been patiently waiting to find out if Matt was going to stick to his campaign promise or if he would go after Charlotte to collect what was his. Quickly into the book, I knew President Hamilton wasn't going to let me down.

This second book in the White House series follows Matt and Charlotte as they navigate the White House years. We don't have to wait long for their romance to rekindle or for them to jump into their happily ever after. What we get is a look into what life is like for this particular first family as they learn to deal with the public's affection for them, beat back the ghost's from Matt's father's presidency and give the US an updated Camelot.

I really enjoyed this book and still loved this couple, but I missed the banter from the campaign trail. Charlotte was an equal to Matt as his made his bid for President and it was right there supporting him and his initiatives. She may have still been doing that, but it was different.

Still an awesome must-read. Matt and Charlotte have a chemistry that makes you forget about their age difference and instead fall in love with them.
