Following the Viltrumite war, ‘get smart’ is a couple of gears slower in its delivery of both action and story. The most interesting of all the new plot threads is Dinosaurus’ origin and character development.

This is getting a twist and I must confess I am afraid that it ends up in some sort of utilitarian rant about how the greater good and the lives of the billions over the lives of the few. There are so many other ways to get the moral lesson without of it without going to the most vicious argument about saving the world as a kantian axiom.

This was a catching up issue.

Mark is back on Earth , but since he was out of the planet for 10 months , there are things that he doesn't know about , and in turn we as a reader also don't know about , hence this issue by various battles and daily routine activities of Mark , tells us what we've been missing so far.

This issue on instances feels a little out of place or uneventful , but by the end of the issue we experience the changes Mark has gone through after his countless battles and coming to term with loss both personal and remote , he realizes the burden and failings of a superhero . There are basically a lot of changes in Mark know , he has grown and evolved into a mature superhero , knowledgeable and powerful .

Another side story involved Robot and Monster Girl , and I really wish to know what went through with those two , why is there a strain in their relationship now . That and the final cliff hanger , makes me as a reader very excited about future issues .

Coming off of The Viltrumite War, I expected a slower volume. You could make the argument that it was, but I loved the direction of Invincible’s character. It goes to that grey area of superheroes that most don’t go down, but Invincible always does.

So many cool plot points with Eve, Robot & Monster Girl, Universa, Powerplex, and Dinosaurus.

Plus, I think the art takes off from this point forward. It makes sense, because they made their first mention of using digital art in the sketchbook.
