This was sooooooo boring omg I can’t believe I managed to finish it. I could think of a million ways the plot could have gone differently that would have at least been thrilling or romantic or mysterious instead of just random and confusing. The worldbuilding is nonexistent except for the government and even that is only really explained after like 70% of the book is already over. The love interest was just meh. I kind of hated most of the characters. All in all, this book did not live up to its potential (book reference haha actually tho don’t read this if you want to be entertained)

It feels like a weird book to me. I'm glad I finally picked it up after having it for two or even more years lying on my bookshelf. But it took me a while to get into it, and sometimes it even felt out of place for what I was reading. I'm curious to know what comes next, so I'm going to pick up the next books, but if I wasn't reading this for a challenge I might have DNF'd it until it felt better to read.
