This one is fairly Meh. There are some things that I like about it, but it's a pretty shallow book, but not in the fun action movie way.

I would have liked this better if it felt more cohesive. The first story arc doesn't seem connected to the second (unless I'm missing something). I feel like the fear arc could have been cool if finished in its own, and that the genie arc could have stood on its own as well later. And both would have been more interesting for it. I enjoyed watching Batman and Alfred in the cave scene though, and also the interaction between Batman and Superman. But overall this felt like two stories put into one book.

The best thing that would come about from the collapse of the internet is no more hacking stories. Seriously, we have all these superpowered people, and we're going up against a body-less AI. Blech.

Oh, and a story where there's some weird anger being that infects the team, and they all get pissed at each other. That was okay, it served to get the individual team members' deep dark fears on front street, which was cool.

I think I miss the Grant Morrison Justice League. The bad guys were really stupid sometimes, but at least they had punchable bodies.

*Sigh…* I’ll just keep it short.

So I’ll give credit that this book does well to build up a story, but the writing is still pretty bad. Dumb dialogue, deus ex machina plot twists...it just seems like a really, really convenient approach to story telling. Everything about the writing just comes across as convenient.

I am giving two stars because I finished the trade. I do not see myself reading this book again, nor do I see myself recommending it to anyone.

Pretty fun, I like Jessica Cruz, but I kinda want to kick Aquaman. And the art is good.

This series needs some serious focus. They keep trying to tell a story about all of the members of the Justice League and it makes the story weak.
