delahh's review against another edition
Too detailed and academic, with lots of repetitive language/themes.
Takeaway: modern management in which responsibility, but not resources, are cascaded to individuals in an organization with little hierarchy and an emphasis on "life" "vitality" and "flexibility" was used by Nazis. It helped empower ranks of leaders so they would do more with less, and the mission-driven approach masked the control and hegemony.

I like the premise but found the book a bit difficult to get into and it seemed like a lot of the underlying assumptions were a bit of a reach. Perhaps this might be more regionally applicable (ie, European management styles) but there's plenty of evidence for modern business culture predating the Reich. Interesting concept to explore but not a super strong read -- I abandoned partway through.
