This is my favorite Lea Coll book to date!

Zoe and Max have been best friends since they were ten. When they find themselves faced with a fake relationship, they promise to not let it ruin their friendship. No one wants to lose their best friend because they decided to date. Will they be able to put on a show and convince everyone they are dating while preserving their friendship?

Somewhere along the way, Max and Zoe lose themselves in their fake relationship and fall in love. The journey was absolute perfection. I fell in love with Max from the very beginning and Zoe reminded me so much of myself at times.

I just loved this book so much. I couldn't put it down. And while King and Queen were only a small part of the story - they were one of my favorite parts!

Lea Coll has become one of my new favorite authors. Every time I start one of her books, I don't want to put it down until I'm finished. One More Chance was no exception.

I've anticipated their story since we met them in the first book and it certainly did not disappoint.

Since they've been best friends since they were ten, taking their relationship to the next level, even if it's only supposed to be "pretend" tests both of them a great deal. It makes them really look hard at feelings and emotions, especially Max, and figure out what is really important in life.

The author does a great job of bringing these emotions and feelings to the page.

I have a deep love for Childhood Friends to Lovers. This one was no different

Zoe is a maths teachers/artist. When she was a child, her sister was ill and when in hospital with her, she met Max who was there for his Grandad. They became close due to this

They are now in their 20s and Zoe’s sister is engaged. Zoe panics as her mum starts taking about setting her up with single guys that she knows. Zoe tells her family that she an Max are dating

They agree to pretend until all the wedding festivities are over, and then tell everyone that they broke up. However, one day when she is drunk, Zoe admits that she wants more and so they agree to become Friends with benefits which ends up turning into even more

I love the relationship between these two. It was so old having the dual POV as you got to know both mindsets which I think was needed in this book to understand why they were both scared to make the move before now

I am definitely interested to read the rest of the series as they come out as I’m hoping they will be just as good as this one was!

This was such a great read! If fake dating/ friends to lovers are your jam you will love this book! It will hook you in right away! This was a one sit read for me! I fun way to pass a few hours! This was a low drama read, but had just enough to keep the story flowing! I loved Zoe and Max together! I wasn’t ready for this one to end! This one did leave me with some questions that I hope are answered in the next book! Which I am super excited for! This is the second book in this series but can be read as a true standalone! I absolutely recommend this book!!

Received a arc for a honest review.

I’m a sucker for second chance romance and this one ticked all my boxes for a great story overall.
I haven’t read any of the author’s books before so I didn’t knew what to expect but I will go back and read the first one in the series now because this one was so good.
I loved the chemistry and emotions that both Max and Zoe showed throughout their time together.
A fake relationship is always fun to read how it slowly develops into something more, into that love that blooms whether they want to accept it immediately or not.
Sizzling with chemistry and great dialogue, One more chance is a must read story for any romance reader.

This book was so good! You got the hook right at the beginning – Max and Zoe are going to be pretending to date to get her mother off her back. It works because they have been friends since they were 10 years old – but feelings are there.

I’m not going to lie; fake dating is one of my least favorite tropes. I don’t know why I just can’t imagine pretending to be with someone for personal gain. However, I have been reading more of them, but this book would be a great introduction. That’s because there are obvious feelings there – buried feelings – from them always being friends and growing up together. I think that’s why I enjoyed this one so much, it didn’t even feel like fake dating. It felt like them testing the waters of what could be.

My only qualm with this book is that I wish there was some more angst. You got to see a bit of angst near the end, but I would have loved the conflict to be explored more. The ending felt a bit too rushed for me and I would have loved it to be carried out a bit more. All in all, though, this was a great read and if you are a fan of the fake dating, friends to lovers trope, this is one you should read!
