I learned so much of my own feelings reading Enid’s internal monologue.

I’m sad I finished this. Enid is such a complex, weird, relatable character (while also being completely unreliable) that you can’t help but root for, even when she makes questionable decisions.

While I enjoyed the book, I had some grievances with the writing. It was fast paced, which was nice, but there were so many section breaks, like I was constantly thrown from scene to the next (although to be fair, adds to the protagonist’s relatability as the narrator). It seemed a little sloppy.

Lastly, the Ainsley slander was uncalled for, we’re not all hellish

This book was well written and I’m glad I read it, but whew - much of this book was a stressful, uncomfortable read. I think I tagged half of the content warning labels when writing this review. Certainly a heavy, anxious read.
