Perfect in every single way. Emily Austin’s writing is just alive, there’s no other way for me to explain it. All of the characters, especially the narrator, are so lovable and easy to connect with.
The characters are especially diverse, and I really loved the representation of people who struggle with mental illness, LGBTQIA+ people and their relationships, and those who are neurodivergent.
I love the way this story approached our flaws as humans and how they (and trauma) affect us and aid in determining how we interact with the world around us.
Endearing, heartwarming, reflective, AND funny??? Just beautiful. 5 stars. No notes.
