Is this a first draft? Not sure if it's just the kindle edition, but the text was riddled with repetitions and typographical errors that a quick edit could have fixed. Content-wise, the book doesn't seem to know what it's about. Part bitter memoir stoked by the arrival of a half-brother and the absence of their biological mother, part political article, part observational piece on sub-cultures, the whole thing seems to be forcibly mashed together under the umbrella of "shit's crazy," but the stories don't feel adequately interconnected. And the whole thing is marred by a resentful tone that is off-putting. It's a short piece, but I could barely finish it.

More about juggalos than Trump but I am completely okay with that. Rabin brings us some great stark comparisons though, such as 'Insane clown Posse are responsible, sane businessmen who pretend to be clowns. Donald Trump, in sharp contrast, is an insane clown who pretends to be a responsible, sane businessman.' As someone who is pretty terrified at the outcome of the coming election, this was a great optimistic read that ultimately left me feeling like even if the world does descend into a dark carnival on the 08/11, we'll have some guides who will bring us through it.
