this book is so niche, but it kind of made me want to read more by daniel defoe. like something more fictional.
i mean truly what a time to be alive. i feel so much more grateful for living in a time of the sewage system and face masks.
a good depiction of an old bustling london during one of its toughest years, and i enjoyed putting myself in the scenery.
dragged at the end, i didn't care about the specific parishes and cities where trade was backed up but overall it was a nice read.
it was also fun to pick out the similarities in how people dealt with a 1665 pandemic and a 2020 pandemic, there were more than i anticipated.
