Inkspell, comparative to Inkheart, is a lot... messier of a book. The plot is everywhere, point of views change so often it's dizzying, characters and introduced and forgotten, some are cruel without reason ROXANNE.
The way she treated Farid was horrible. He's a boy, not much older than Meggie (who is thirteen!!!) And she's like 'you harbringer of bad luck you're the reason he's dead'. How disgusting. It's obvious that Dustfinger loves Farid dearly, and for her to treat Farid like that, a young boy who follows him around like a puppy, makes me hate her.
The best part of this book for me, by far, was Brendan Frasier's performance. His Elinor voice was... grating to say the least, but all of his other characters were dynamic and varied and fun. Brendan Frasier was the high point of this book.

What a fantastic sequel to an excellent book. I loved diving into the world of Inkheart and all of the characters there. It was a great exploration of narrative and story, and a really fun read.

I love this series, and can't wait to read Inkdeath to find out what happened to all of the characters we've (my whole family) have completely fallen in love with.
