I’m wrapping up Lilith’a Brood by OEB, and wow! The level of detail and OEB’s thoughts on the human condition (guns, violence, touch) is just so dynamic. I enjoyed this book, but was left with so many questions. I liked the characters, and watching them transition as they go through metamorphosis. These books span so much time, and time continues forward.

The writing was excellent. The characters were great. The general thesis was … disturbing.

I don't know. I wanted to like this book. Everyone says it's a masterpiece. But I was too creeped out all of the time by the Oankali. Not because they were alien. Not because of how they looked. Not because of their odd abilities. But because of their general feelings toward Humanity. Telling you exactly why that creeped me out would be telling too much. So I'll leave it at that.

This feeling persisted throughout the entire trilogy…
