Alright friends, this volume was frustrating. I wasn't frustrated with Kou thought. I was proud of Kou and the decisions that he made in this volume. He is finally progressing towards what he really wants.
I am frustrated at the other guy currently in the picture. He has pressured Futaba into going out with him, even though he knows she has feelings for Kou. He is taking advantage of the fact that she wants to seek independence, and is potentially looking at how much she cares for Kou. He's being forceful, and it honestly felt a little icky to me.
I am ready for Vol 10 to come along, and hopefully for some changes to happen in the next volume.

(aquí ya estaba Kikuchi impidiendo el amor entre Kou y Futaba)

Super cute!!

Love where the series is going and the character development of Futaba as well as trying to figure out and come to terms with her feelings.

This is for the overall Manga***
Overall rating 4.5 Stars**
This is the only shōjo manga/anime I've ever watched so I have nothing to compare it too.**

This manga was so good! (I read it online because they do not have any published English versions)
The fleshing out of the characters was very well done. I though this was an accurate depiction of teenage romantic struggles and misunderstandings. I loved the art! There was a lot of back and forth but I did not mind that at all. I thought it went nicely with the plot and wasn't used in a bad way.

Feelings on characters
Futaba - She need to stay true to herself and stop going with the crowd... She also need to face her feelings instead of running away from them. No friend can tell you what you need to do. You need to choose for yourself.

Kou - Obviously Kou had other issues he needed to work on other than his romantic ones. He needed to realise Yui was in love with him and wasn't branching out because of that. He should have stepped away at that point. The last couple chapters he was like a totally different person and I really enjoyed that person as well as the person he was before.

Yuri - She's just a cute potato.

Shuko - I really didn't like her in the beginning but the more she opened up the more I began to like her. I thought she was real and sincere.

Aya - He is also a cute potato.

Yoichi Tanaka - I liked him A LOT and I rooted for him in whatever he was doing.

Toma - I have a love/hate relationship with Toma. There is nothing wrong with him but he was ruining my OTP and he needed to step back.

Yui - This girl need to take several seats because she was just mean. She was keeping Kou with her under false pretenses and my sympathy for her slipped away at that point. I do hope she finds happiness on her own.

I am not liking where this is going. I can remember the cell phone strap fiasco and that is not something I'm looking forward to.

also touma. can't understand how people can think of him as a "selfless, precious sunshine child". he is literally one of the most selfish characters in this manga. he doesn't even consider the fact that futaba is still recovering from kou's rejection, and that she is definitely still hurting. it's always about him and what he wants??? how does that make him sweet and loving????? he doesn't even show sympathy towards her after she's rejected. he just asks her out immediately. BUT WHY????

This Narumi-san is starting to irritate me. I get that she is grieving and that her only shoulder to cry on is Mabuchi-kun but she needs to sort out her life better. She cannot depend on someone else all the time.

ahHHHH I need volume 10 immediately.
