5.0

"Mercy's King" by Katy Huth Jones is the fourth in a series of soon to be FIVE fictional novels set in the kingdom of Levanthia and centered around the adventures of its Crown Prince Valerian and his Princess Merry and now their gifted twin children Princess Joy and Prince Dolan.
The fourth installment of this epic series is the most touching as we continue our journey with Valerian and Merry, having lived in peace as the Duke and Duchess of Frankland for nearly a dozen years following the treachery and brutality of Liall Guinness. Despite outward appearances of tranquility the spirits of jealousy and bitterness still fester in the heart of Sir Gregory Strivelyn and his anger at Prince Valerian for the perceived slight has not abated. Sir Gregory and Lord Lewes Reed conspire to take the kingdom by force and they will stop at nothing to have their way. Even the mighty power represented by the Dragons may not be enough to thwart their black evil.
No spoilers but suffice to say that all of our favorite characters are back and again in grave peril. Sir Kieran’s heroism is on grand display and the heart-wrenching finale of this novel will bring tears to your eyes.
Bravo! Beautifully written - Five Stars.
