I just finished reading this as an adult and was definitely transported to the days of sitting in front of the disney video, mesmerized by Peter and his adventures. I wanted to read it after watching Finding Neverland again. It's a sweet read.

To date this is one of my favourite stories, it resonated with me as a child and even now with every read I find new beauty and meaning in Barrie’s witty dialogue, beautiful prose, and melancholic world as he masterfully captures the inescapable sensation of growing up.

It’s strange that I dislike Peter even more after reading the original. As usual, the classics don’t get a long review, but I have to say, I was more than a little disappointed. It’s good and an ok children’s story, but meh, not all it’s cracked up to be.
