This is a short freebie from the authors website, another window view. This time readers get to peep in on the Rats. The incredible spies that give Darkriver a huge part of the intelligence. It's nice to get this itty-bitty chance to visit them as I've been so curious with their “pack” and their history. In the end it's just what the title states. A conversation. It's nice to hear from the Rats how their alliance with Darkriver.

A solid little short story. Nothing spectacular and isn't focused on DarkRiver or SnowDancers but on the Rats.
The title literally summarizes what the story is about. I picture two little hobo men, drinking their brown-paper-bag whiskey and chatting about their lives that have changed for the better, if only slightly.
This short story isn't anything amazing and I may have zoned out a couple times but it does give a little background of the connects of DarkRiver.

A short scene with the rat changeling alpha, Teijan and his right hand man, Zane. This was an interesting conversation and I hope we see more of the rat changelings in future books.

An interesting insight into the Rat shifters that have an alliance with DarkRiver. I hope we get to see more of them in future books!
