4.25 ⭐ I’ve never thought about tennis being remotely sexy, maybe that’s because when I think of tennis I think of Andy Murray (no offence Andy mate, just not my type). Kieran… wow. Anyways. I liked the book, it played with my emotions, it really annoyed me at times and made me shed a tear. It would have been 4 stars however there were 2! 2! 2! intimate moments, truly, devastatingly, what is that! I also wasn’t a massive fan of the structure of the book it felt too rigid, every chapter was 10 pages, I needed a variety of pages for the chapters and more insignificant but significant sweet exchanges between Kieran and Flossie even if they added nothing to the tennis plot line.
Also didn’t like the epilogue ending, it just felt unnecessary. What he ended up doing made sense and same with her but the revelation just spoilt it for me.

For the most part this was a cute story. Last 25% was a bit ridiculous as the author was obviously trying for a big cinematic rom-com finish,
