So far I have reread three of the Harry Potter books and this one has got to be my favorite. The main plot line I remembered perfectly thanks the movies but there are many details that I had forgotten. And those details made all the difference.
For instance in the movie we don't see the Quidditch cup as much but in the book it's really important and listening to those games on audiobook was thrilling and captivating. I had no idea what the outcome would be and so it was like discovering it for the first time.
I also love that the book gives us much more backstory especially relating to James and Harry's patronus.
I also feel like the relationships between the three main characters are much more complex and developed in the books which is something I'd forgotten. In this book Hermione has some very lonely moments and it made her involvement in the last part even more important.
Finally I know that as I keep going the books will be more more different from the movies and that is something I'm really excited about. I'm really looking forward to discovering or rediscovering the story in all its glorious details.

So, Harry Potter's godfather, Sirius, who turns out to be good instead of bad, is really a great plot twist. Loved that part. And the Time-Turner, that was a curious little device. However, there's always the time paradox, that if you go back in time and kill your grandfather (before he had your parent) would you still exist? Another book that looks into this is [b:Artemis Fowl: The Time Paradox|2179276|Artemis Fowl The Time Paradox (Artemis Fowl, #6)|Eoin Colfer|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1255716105s/2179276.jpg|2184954].
