Mercy, please! My heart!πŸ’”β€οΈβ€πŸ©Ή The wait for this sequel is going to be downright agonizing and torturous because...oh my goodness! 😭For me, THIS WAS EPIC. I love all of Ariana Nash's books, and have some really special favorites πŸ‘€πŸ€ŒπŸ˜˜πŸ€. But this one...this one was a whole other story. I'm...my brains stopped working I think. I'm trying to put all my thoughts and feelings into words but once again, it's a struggle when stumped by another wondrous and wretchedly scrumptious masterpiece. This book is now my new favorite. Without a doubt. πŸ‘€πŸ₯°πŸ’–πŸ’—β€οΈβ€πŸ”₯

Thank you, Ariana Nash, for introducing this incredible new story and I can't wait to read more ❀️‍πŸ”₯πŸ’–πŸ˜Š.

I'm torn on this duology. Comparatively, the tone of this series falls more in line with her Silk & Steel series than her Assassin's Prince series. If you like Ariana, you will probably like this.

I found Fool Me Once to be the stronger of the two novels in the duology because we are given more time to simply let Lark, Arin, and Draven develop as characters with their own agendas before the endless plot twists begin.  The time we had in the courts with them was compelling and I enjoyed seeing how they all worked within it.
