BLACK LOVEEEEE!! (Enough said really.) On a more plot-based note, I loved how the narrative tackled Danielle's struggles with confronting her past before being fully ready to enter her relationship with Prince. Also, their dates were so cute and it was really refreshing to not only see Prince being head over heels for Danielle, but also how her dynamic with her friends was explored. I wish there was a little bit more development in Malik and Rashida's story (possible book 2??), but overall this was a feel-good book that I loved to read :) would highly recommend!!

It only took one book to make this an auto-buy author! I loved this so much!!! I thought it was great. I loved the pacing and the relationship. I finished it and I wanted to read it again.

For that young person who might be from Detroit and might say, I could do this, I could write this story, and I might do it better. Do it. I dare you.

As a fellow Detroiter, this book is so Detroit but in all the right ways. ❤️

Black love, Black music, Black hair, Black friendships, Black authors, Black Family and Black Love….

I think this YA book will speak to youth of Detroit for years to come.

although sweet, i found it hard to get stuck into, and found the book to be, at times, unrelatable and unrealistic.
