Trigger warnings for lots and lots of animal death and general suffering.

This is a very intense account for Shackleton’s voyage. It started rather slow but I found myself riveted soon after. It’s a very human story that I thoroughly enjoyed. Again, there is a lot of animal death and some cruelty involved so only go into this if you can deal with that.

 An extremely well documented account that reads like Jules Verne. I do wish more time had been spent at the end on the aftermath of the exhibition though.

Why? What was the point of all this? Why was this more important than WW1? Why did all the dogs have to die? WHY COULDN'T THEY BRING A CHANGE OF UNDERWEAR?
