Honestly one of my favorite reads of the year and one of the most creative with Puck being the narrator and also filling his commentary throughout the book. Honestly this one will be one book I will be shoving on most people especially the audiobook version. The breaking of 4th wall throughout was everything.

The mystery of this all kept me on the edge of my seat along with the quests and fairy riddles. I loved how Hall stuck to true Fairy myths and lore it made my heart so happy. I loved all the characters, but I want to be besties with Lizzie in real life.

This is definitely a book I will reread because the romance was good (even with fade to black spice), but all the other components of this book held me every second!

3.5 stars i think. maybe 3.25! this was cute, but it felt quite long and drawn out and i was hoping to see a bit more of the two love interests actually interacting. it didn’t feel like there was a ton of romance for them to establish actually being in love on! i did enjoy the characters & the setting, but it took me about 40% of the book to be really interested! therefore not rating it super highly, would still recommend for someone who likes fantasy with a bit of comedy

It took a bit to get into this one, but overall it was a really fun read. The pacing was a little weird and it's definitely verbose. I thought the over the top nature of the wording was fun though. It's definitely whimsical, even when it does get a dark. As annoying as Lizzie is, she quickly became my favorite character.
