DID NOT FINISH

I'm bored and in a reading slump already so I'll let this one go. Might come back to it, might not

I really liked the first book and a lot of that had to do with Daniela. This book is set in Carmen’s POV. I totally understand why that choice was made. A lot of the action would have happened “off-screen” if it had stayed in Dani’s POV. But, I felt like the book was missing her voice. Also, this one felt like it was a little slow to get to the engagement, then rushed when it finally did. I liked this one, but not as much as We Set the Dark on Fire.

The first book "We Set The Dark On Fire" was so good! I loved the characters and it was exciting!
It's hard to believe this book was written by the same author. I hated reading through Carmen's point of view. I didn't like Carmen as a character anymore. Even though there was a lot more action, it was some how not as exciting as the first book. Very disappointed.

I preferred the 1st book better. I had a harder time connecting with Carmen’s character in the beginning of the book. It wasn’t until the end of the book that I finally couldn’t put it down. Still a decent ending though.
