I read the first book all in one day and then had to force myself to even finish this one. The plot twists were predictable, I didn't like Carmen as a narrator, it made everything 10x more melodramatic ... it was just so, so boring. A letdown.

Oh wow. This book has so many good dystopian elements and the characters are written so well. This duology has made me so sad and so happy in all the best ways. I did wish we would be able to see a tiny bit from Dani’s point of view towards the end, but nevertheless I’m still happy with the result.
