A bit more predictable than the first book but still some excellent queer dystopian revolutionary YA. This series should really be made into movies tbh

I thought this was even better than the first book! It expanded on preexisting characters a lot, which I really liked. I also liked getting to see more of La Vos as an organization. It was nice to get to see into Carmen's head for once after questioning her motives for so much of the first book. This was faster paced and I definitely felt like more was happening, and I really liked those aspects- I felt almost at the edge of my seat for a lot of it. I loved seeing things progress between the two leads, but also in their individual bonds with everyone else. This was rlly good and a fantastic sequel.
