This was a bit of a letdown from the first book, which I really enjoyed! It's not that I minded the pov shift to Carmen (I think logically that makes sense for the storyline) but actually the plot moved so slowly. There really wasn't a whole lot going on until the very end, and so the shift to a more character focused storyline just didn't really work for me. Bummer :(

Worse than the first book, and had all the same problems as that but worse. I understand why this one was from Carmen's pov, as it was focused on the rebel group, but it was weird after the first book being Dani's pov. I still wasn't sold on their relationship, and the issue with the rebels was so obvious from the beginning so it wasn't a twist at all when things went wrong. The world could have been interesting, but it just wasn't explored enough in any way so the duology fell very flat overall.

You are the revolution.’”
