Erin is amazing! She’s kind, caring, compassionate and hardworking. Even more, I loved her courage, curiosity and her positive outlook in life. Despite everything she’s been through in her life, all the loss and pain, she still manages to be optimistic about the future. Erin is such a wonderful woman and I loved her so, so much!
Khatazo is a former gladiator, turned pirate. The huge alien is dangerous, growly and quite grumpy, but there is more to him than meets the eye. Because Khatazo is also strong, brave, loyal and fiercely protective. Khatazo is an incredible male and I adored every single thing about him!
I absolutely loved everything that happened between Erin and Khatazo! After being taken by aliens, Erin spends her days working on a space station and dreaming for a peaceful and quiet life. And Khatazo needs to help one of his crew members in his medical recovery. Both need credits and an opportunity presents itself - the Cursed Compound. I loved those two together! Even though Khatazo was not willing to partner with Erin in the beginning, they were an amazing team. I loved how supportive, encouraging and protective they were of each other. Erin and Khatazo were polar opposites and, yet, fit so well together! And the more time they spent together, the more their attraction grew. And when they couldn’t resist the undeniable need for one another, the passionate moments they shared were so hot! Khatazo and Erin were so perfect for each other and I couldn’t get enough of either of them!
In addition, the storyline and the worldbuilding were spectacular! The Cursed Compound is a dangerous place. With everything happening, I was glued to the pages, excited to see how Erin and Khatazo would manage to solve the puzzles and escape the monsters, lurking in every corner. And with that epilogue, I’m really excited to see what happens next.
Overall, the story is a quick read and a fantastic start of the series! It’s filled with danger, suspense, twists, action, passion and wonderful characters.
