I'll start by saying that physiological thrillers are by far one of my top favorite genres. If you have the twists and turns that will keep me guessing please lay them on me, because there's no other feeling like predicting one outcome and being slapped across the face with another leaving you saying oh my god.

Kit is a self employed interior designer in the empire state of New York, the books starts off that she is at a resort in Florida while on a business/vacation. She runs into a charming red hair man who is also on business/vacation from New York and is later asked to dinner by him. After a night of no regrets (or so she thinks) with this stranger they later agree to meet back up when they get back home. Fast forward to the date night Kit and this stranger planned, Kit shows up at his door step and when the door opens the man standing in front of her has the exact same name but a different face. Is this a cruel joke? Why would the stranger give her this address to a man with the same name?

Kit is then thrown into the middle of a confusing intertwining web of lies, and danger. Who is this man she had a passionate night with in Florida? What does he want from her and who can she trust?

I recommend this if you happen to like Mean Streak by Sandra Brown, I don't recommend this for you if hate easily predictable story lines. I enjoyed this read very much, the characters are likeable and the plot is interesting.

I'd give this 3.5 solid stars

This is the second Kate White book I've read and I loved the first one The Sixes. One of my favorite reads this year! This was a solid book as well, and I found it an easy, fast-paced read.

Kit is an interior designer her has started her own boutique design firm with her colleague Baby. Kit is on vacation when she meets a handsome stranger, and she spends a fantastic night with him. They make plans to meet up when they are back in NYC for dinner, but when Kit arrives at his apartment, the man she encounters is NOT the man she met on vacation.

From this point, Kit enters a wild ride, where she tries to work out who the man she met on vacation was, who the man in the apartment is, and how this all fits together. Who is lying to Kit? One of them? Both of them? As things escalate towards murder, Kit finds herself enmeshed in a story that she isn't sure how or why she got into. What could these people possibly want with an interior decorator from Manhattan? And was she chosen or was it chance?

I don't want to spoil, but there are lots of twists and turns. I enjoyed the sprinkling of interior design stuff throughout, because I love picturing fantastic homes and fantastic fashion. There wasn't too much of this, and typically when it arose it wasn't more than a page and fit within the plot of the story.

I loved the reveal! In what I've come to see as Kate White fashion, there is a riveting scene that unfolds with a face off and an explanation of why. Very satisfying! I love the chick-lit appeal with a good suspense/mystery. Overall this is a really solid book and a great read for when you don't have the bandwidth for a complex-thought-provoking drama. This one stays fun but suspenseful--just what I needed right now!

I can't really pinpoint anything I disliked about this book, it just didn't keep my attention like other thrillers I've read. I thought that it seemed a little bit disorganized at parts, but I liked the overall premise of it. I found myself putting it down often and having to drag myself to keep reading it. I liked the ending, but I think there was a lot of fluff in the middle and it was a bit predictable on who the "bad guy" was.

A fairly predictable but well written suspense that kept me going till the end.
What would you think if your one night stand was not who he said he was ? If the man he said he was ended up dead and now your being followed ? Kit an interior decorator is way in over her head and doesn't know who to believe or trust. A good fast paced suspense.

The characters were flat and the twists and turns were never ending. But, it wasn't a horrible read. The main character was... Not likable or unlikable. She was just kind of there. I didn't see the chemistry she felt with the guy she met (that turned her life upside down). I also figured out who the hidden villain was early on. There is also a red herring thrown in the mix. There is no real suspense. I guess it's worth a look. Maybe it's good as a beach read.

I listened to this one on CD. I liked the protagonist, Kit Finn, an interior designer who gets sucked into a murder mystery.

I give this book 4.5-5 stars! I really liked it and I had to finish it in one sitting (yes, that means staying up half the night!) I had never read this author before and I am looking forward to reading her other books. This book was suspenseful and intriguing; I liked all the characters; and I liked how all the events in the plot just flowed so easily.
